this piece dates from 2022, and has been in the care of a gallery for a number of years, and primarily has been in storage. I would consider this to be one of the stronger works from this series. I started in mid 2020. The series encapsulated a little over 50 works in total.
in regards to this ‘sale’ pricing. What I have marked as the sale is due to this being available directly through me versus other avenues. it is very rare that this type of work is available through me, as almost all of it immediately goes to gallery spaces. this piece has been traditionally available at $5,500. I like to emphasize my experience and belief that physical spaces are incredibly important to an artist, and they are incredibly important to me. This obviously is a deal, but it is also respectful of my business relationships and work that has already been placed with other collectors - and most importantly, is respectful to my time and expertise in regards to creating this work as they are very time involved and labor intensive.
This piece comes UNFRAMED. I can offer suggestions on approaches to framing (including images of how others have framed), and also share resources on framers depending on your location. if you have questions and concern in advance of preaching, seeing this, please reach out to me directly via my contact form, or if you were connected to be an Instagram, you may message me via DM. I would be happy to talk you through the framing process. These are involved and strong pieces, and I would like to make sure that you are happy and satisfied with how they exist within your collection and living environment.
PAYMENT INSTALLMENTS AVAILABLE - I can offer installment arrangements that are either 2 separate payments, or 3 payment installments . This is a common practice with works over a certain range of pricing. Simply go to my contact page and send me an email to discuss and learn more.
*** also of note, you possibly may have noticed that there is no signature on the piece. At the time when I initially created these, I would simply sign my work in pencil. I have shifted with my more important to involve pieces that regard this type of embroidery, with an embroidered signature. That is something I will add once the work has been secured. The title and date will also be written in pencil on the back of the work.
